The BI Engineer, SRE will ensure availability, performance, and security of GCP-hosted BI APIs and data infrastructure. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining LookML models, managing Liquid templating in Looker, writing advanced SQL in BigQuery, collaborating on dbt models, resolving data quality issues, and documenting data models. SRE duties include monitoring uptime and performance of APIs and services, leading incident response, building observability infrastructure, tracking cloud spend with alerting, fixing security gaps, improving data pipeline reliability, and contributing to infrastructure-as-code. Requires 3+ years BI development or data modeling experience, bachelor's degree or equivalent, deep LookML and Looker experience, strong Liquid templating and SQL skills, and solid data modeling knowledge. Preferred skills include Looker Extension Framework, dbt, GCP ecosystem familiarity, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Python, and cost optimization. Remote work available in most countries with flexible hours between 7am-10pm CEST.
