Full job description

Celtra is hiring a BI Engineer for their Data Insights team. The role involves optimizing and maintaining the Snowflake data warehouse, developing ETL/ELT pipelines with Matillion and DBT, ensuring data quality and validation, and collaborating with data engineering and analytics teams. The position also includes part-time data analysis duties such as creating dashboards and reports with Power BI, performing exploratory data analysis, and providing insights to various stakeholders. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of data engineering experience with Snowflake and Matillion, experience with DBT preferred, strong SQL skills, and 2+ years of data analysis experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. The role requires strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and a proactive attitude. What you'll do

  • Optimize and maintain Snowflake data warehouse for performance and scalability
  • Develop and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion and DBT
  • Design and enforce data quality and validation processes
  • Collaborate with Data Engineer and Data Analytics teams to manage data sources and design data models
  • Document technical workflows, schemas, and processes
  • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders across customer success, sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI and other tools
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and insights
  • Support ad hoc data requests and guide decision-making

Requirements

  • Degree in data or computer science, business, management, statistics, engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Snowflake and Matillion
  • Experience with DBT or similar data transformation tool
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Knowledge of Python recommended
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis including visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Ability to work in a fast-changing environment
  • Team player with a can-do attitude
