StackAdapt is seeking a mid-level Automation Engineer focused on Agentic Orchestration to integrate AI capabilities with business processes and enterprise applications. Responsibilities include analyzing workflows for AI automation opportunities, managing AI agent development lifecycle, ensuring security and scalability, integrating AI agents with enterprise systems, building AI agents for complex tasks, developing connectors and APIs, and mentoring junior staff. Required skills include experience with AI cloud services (OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock), LLM APIs, NLP, ML principles, enterprise integration platforms, conversational AI frameworks, Python and AI/ML libraries, embedding processes, vector databases, API design, and database technologies. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. What you'll do
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze workflows and identify AI-driven automation opportunities
- Oversee AI agent development lifecycle from design to deployment and production monitoring
- Ensure AI agent security, scalability, and reliability through monitoring and tuning
- Design and implement integration solutions connecting AI agents with enterprise systems (CRMs, ERPs, databases)
- Design and implement evaluation systems for quality control and continuous improvement
- Build and configure AI agents for natural language understanding, data extraction, decision-making, and system interactions
- Develop custom connectors, APIs, and middleware for data exchange and process automation
- Continuously explore and evaluate new AI technologies and tools
- Mentor system admins and junior developers in building and configuring AI agents
Requirements
- Experience with AI services from major cloud providers (OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock)
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs
- Understanding of business process analysis and re-engineering
- Understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLMs, and ML principles
- Experience with enterprise integration platforms (Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi)
- Experience with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) is a plus
- Hands-on experience with conversational AI platforms and frameworks
- Proficiency in Python and AI/ML libraries (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Understanding of embedding processes, vector databases, RAG systems, and knowledge graphs
- Strong understanding of API design principles (REST, RPC, SSE, GraphQL) and data formats (JSON, XML)
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
- Creative and analytical mindset with passion for solving complex problems through automation
- Entrepreneurial approach and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
