Digital Turbine seeks an Audience Growth & Engagement Lead to drive sustainable audience growth and engagement across content surfaces. The role bridges content strategy, product engineering, and monetization to build competitive advantage. Responsibilities include executing content distribution strategies, partnering with Product on personalization and A/B testing, designing growth strategies for new app experiences, collaborating with Marketing on CRM tactics, optimizing advertiser-sponsored content, providing performance data to Ad Sales, defining growth metrics, and improving app store ratings. Requires 6+ years in content-driven growth roles, combining content intuition with technical growth tactics, ability to design algorithmic feed strategies, strategic leadership, and experience architecting app experiences. Hybrid work environment; candidates must be local to Austin, Durham, or New York.

What you'll do

  • Execute strategies to distribute content across app surfaces, feeds, and notifications
  • Partner with Product to deploy personalization engines and run A/B tests to increase session frequency and time spent
  • Help design and implement growth strategy for new and rebuilt app experiences, translating audience insights into product requirements, launch plans, and engagement tactics
  • Collaborate with Marketing to design CRM tactics including push notifications and segmentation to nurture users and boost re-engagement
  • Maximize yield of content inventory by optimizing advertiser-sponsored content and testing headlines and formats
  • Provide critical performance data to Ad Sales to demonstrate ROI
  • Define growth metrics, build performance dashboards, and champion a conversion rate optimization mindset
  • Leverage content quality to improve app store ratings and reviews
  • Act as a translator between departments owning experimentation agenda with Product, aligning lifecycle tactics with Marketing, and providing performance data to Ad Sales

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven track record in a modern, content-driven growth mandate, likely from digital publisher, content platform, or AdTech sector
  • Hybrid skill set combining content intuition and technical growth and engagement tactics
  • Ability to design algorithmic feed strategies and treat content as a product through rigorous testing
  • Strategic authority to negotiate for resources and drive alignment across complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience helping architect new or rebuilt app experiences connecting audience insight, content strategy, personalization, and growth tactics
