Full job description

Associate Product Manager role focused on Traffic Shaping product at Magnite in Boston, MA with hybrid schedule (Monday/Friday remote, Tuesday-Thursday in-office). The role involves learning product management through mentorship and hands-on projects, working with product, data science, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include understanding the product and data, analyzing datasets, designing and evaluating A/B tests, improving product operations and workflows, translating product problems into requirements, and progressively owning product features and initiatives. Requirements include 0-2 years experience in analytical or technical roles, strong problem-solving and data skills (Excel, SQL), technical comfort with command line and coding, clear communication, ownership mentality, and preferably a quantitative or technical background. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Salary range in Massachusetts is $95,000 to $105,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

What you'll do

  • Build deep understanding of Traffic Shaping product, data, and systems
  • Analyze large and messy datasets to generate insights and recommendations
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to design, run, and evaluate A/B tests and deployment validations
  • Identify and implement improvements to product operations, launch processes, and workflows including automation opportunities
  • Translate product problems into clear requirements, coordinate execution, and communicate results to stakeholders
  • Take progressively broader ownership from scoped features to end-to-end initiatives from definition through rollout and validation

Requirements

  • Early-career hunger to learn
  • Recent graduate or ~1-2 years experience in analytical or technical role
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfort with data including Excel charts, pivots, basic models, and SQL or ability to learn quickly
  • Technical comfort with command line, AI tools, and basic coding
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ownership mentality
  • Quantitative or technical background preferred (math, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
