Full job description

The Associate, Media Strategy role supports Kargo's sales team by creating insight-driven proposals, pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral. This hybrid role requires onsite presence 4 days per week in Chicago. Key responsibilities include delivering strong, on-brand RFP responses on time, maintaining an up-to-date sales collateral library, designing strategic learning agendas for top clients, translating product knowledge into sales-ready materials, and producing proactive lead-generation content. Required skills include 1-2 years experience in media, advertising, or marketing, advanced PowerPoint and Google Slides skills, proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, strong written communication, and knowledge of digital advertising fundamentals. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with third-party research vendors and experience supporting sales or client-facing teams in fast-paced media or ad tech environments. Salary range is $62,000 to $65,000 USD.

What you'll do

  • Turn advertiser briefs and RFPs into compelling, insight-driven proposals to help sales team win
  • Build pitch materials, learning agendas, and sales collateral reflecting Kargo's value proposition
  • Deliver RFP responses that are strong, on-brand, and on-time with minimal rework
  • Maintain a current and actively used sales collateral library including pitch decks, one-pagers, and product materials
  • Design strategic learning agendas for top-tier clients with research-backed measurement and testing plans
  • Translate product knowledge into clear sales-ready materials with compelling narratives
  • Produce proactive lead-generation collateral such as trend reports, category insights, and creative hooks

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in media, advertising, marketing, or a related field including internship experience
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Google Slides skills to build polished, strategic, visually compelling presentations independently
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, revenue reporting, and performance tracking
  • Strong written communication skills to craft narratives connecting data to advertiser objectives
  • Working knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem including online advertising fundamentals and emerging media trends
  • Preferred: Familiarity with third-party research vendors and incorporating data into strategic storytelling
  • Preferred: Experience supporting a sales or client-facing team in a fast-paced media or ad tech environment
