Full job description

PubMatic is hiring an Associate Director, Customer Success to lead a team supporting MidMarket US publisher accounts. Responsibilities include managing team development, overseeing publisher relationships, technical escalation, onboarding header bidding integrations, optimizing account performance, and collaborating with internal teams for upselling and product improvements. Requires minimum 8 years in programmatic ad tech, management experience, knowledge of Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, SSP/DSP ecosystem, header bidding, video advertising, debugging tools, and strong analytical and project management skills. The role is full-time, hybrid work schedule in Gurugram, India.

What you'll do

  • Manage a large team including development, recruitment, hiring, and training
  • Oversee relationship management of large publisher accounts to ensure excellent service and revenue growth
  • Serve as primary technical escalation point for team including onboarding, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Manage technical escalations via Salesforce, Jira and other platforms
  • Develop a collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Coach peers to create skill lift and drive client growth
  • Collaborate with Publisher Development and Product Commercial Leads for upselling opportunities
  • Work with Advertiser Solutions and Tech Ops teams to create solutions for demand and supply sides
  • Oversee Salesforce hygiene and reporting of publisher accounts, customer data, pipeline, case workflow, and performance data
  • Identify product enhancement opportunities and liaise with Product Managers

Requirements

  • Previous management experience (manager, lead or supervisor role)
  • Experience leading a large team preferred
  • Minimum 8 years relevant programmatic ad tech experience in digital advertising
  • In-depth knowledge of Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, SSP & DSP ecosystem, Prebid, and header bidding wrappers
  • Preferred knowledge in video (in-stream, outstream, CTV & OTT), mobile app/SDK, ad quality/brand safety, inventory quality, PMP, oRTB, ad tags
  • Knowledge of debugging tools like Charles, Fiddler, Firebug
  • Experience supporting a global customer base and interfacing with US-based team
  • Experience in publisher relationship management including service, growth, cross-sales/upsells
  • Proactive, quick learner, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced publisher performance optimization and reporting skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, project management, and organization skills
  • Ability to present clear project plans and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours overlapping US California mornings
