Full job description

Associate Data Analyst responsible for onboarding client digital data into Comscore platforms and production processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize performance, and deliver actionable insights. Analyze large datasets, write and optimize SQL queries, use programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, Objective-C/Swift), and network sniffing tools (Charles Network Proxy, Wireshark). Create data visualizations and automate repetitive tasks. Diagnose client issues and provide solutions. Requires bachelor's degree in a relevant field, proficiency in programming and SQL, experience with network sniffing tools, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work in a team. Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI and PowerAutomate is a plus. Compensation $70,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience. Location: Reston, VA or Remote East Coast USA.

What you'll do

  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions
  • Read, understand, and analyze code written in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, Objective-C/Swift
  • Write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries to interact with relational databases (RDBMS), ensuring data integrity and performance optimization
  • Utilize network sniffing tools like Charles Network Proxy, Wireshark, etc., to monitor and analyze network traffic
  • Create data visualizations, charts, and graphs to present insights clearly to stakeholders
  • Understand and utilize existing automation tools to streamline and automate repetitive tasks
  • Understand client queries, diagnose issues, and provide appropriate solutions with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Work effectively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and learning from peers
  • Be adaptable to new technologies and changes in the work environment, including working independently

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or analytically oriented field
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages
  • Strong SQL skills with a solid understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Experience with network sniffing tools like Charles Network Proxy, Wireshark, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills with a knack for solving complex problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and changing business requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to collective goals
  • Familiarity with Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft PowerAutomate is a plus
