Full job description
Assistant Corporate Controller role in Bangalore office responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring proper treatment of complex transactions, and supporting global reporting. Requires 3-5 years accounting experience with 1+ years post internship, CPA certification, deep knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 718, 606, 260), SEC reporting, and experience with off-shore subsidiaries. Preferred experience with NetSuite and Workiva. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, coordinating SEC-compliant reporting, executing close processes, liaising with auditors, maintaining accounting policies and SOX controls, reviewing revenue recognition, and managing SEC filings. Strong English communication skills required. Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in-office.
What you'll do
- Support preparation of Consolidated and Solo financial statements
- Coordinate documentation for SEC-compliant reporting and GAAP filings
- Execute quarterly and annual close processes
- Serve as primary point of contact for external auditors
- Maintain and apply consistent accounting policies
- Ensure internal controls (SOX) operate effectively
- Review trading deals and revenue streams for ASC 606 compliance
- Manage reporting and accounting treatment for all SEC filings using Workiva
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting
- 1+ years of experience post internship
- Big 4 background is a significant plus
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP (specifically ASC 718, 606 and 260)
- Experience with SEC reporting
- Experience with off-shore subsidiaries
- Certified Accountant (CPA) is a must
- Experience with NetSuite and Workiva preferred
- Strong English communication skills
