Full job description
Art Director role at Epsilon based in Chicago, IL with hybrid work requiring 2-3 days in office weekly. Responsibilities include leading concept development and execution across marketing channels (web, mobile, audio, video), collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and improving creative processes. Requires 3-5 years experience in digital design within agency or in-house, proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, basic motion graphics skills, Microsoft Office, and preferably Figma. Strong branding knowledge, communication, project management, and client presentation skills needed. Willingness to travel occasionally. - Lead concept development and execute across multiple marketing channels including web, mobile, audio, and video
- Apply creative judgment and navigate moderately complex creative strategy
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Copywriters, Production Artists, Developers, Account Managers, and Sales Directors
- Support new business pitch presentations
- Identify ways to improve efficiency and execution aligning with company mission
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in an agency or in-house environment leading digital design
- Strong understanding of branding and ability to align creative with business objectives
- Ability to translate client briefs into visually impactful interactive experiences
- Dependable and self-directed with strong time and project management skills
- Exceptional communication skills—verbal, written, and visual
- Comfortable presenting and persuading in both internal and client-facing settings
- Familiar with the capabilities and limitations of creative tools, development, and production teams
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects)
- Basic Motion Graphics (animation, storyboarding, light video editing)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Programs (PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Figma knowledge is a plus
- Willingness to travel with a Creative Manager or Director for occasional client meetings
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Advertising, or Design preferred
- Portfolio showcasing strategic, concept-driven, and visually polished work
- Experience working on creative personalization or data-driven campaigns
- Track record of building relationships and inspiring trust with clients and internal teams
