Full job description

The Trade Desk is seeking a mid-level Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to support headcount and expense planning functions. The role involves creating financial reports, improving budgeting and forecasting processes, assisting with department reporting, capital forecasting, and performing ad-hoc analyses. The candidate will collaborate with Accounting on close procedures and continuously improve financial processes. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field, 2+ years experience in FP&A, corporate finance or accounting, strong Excel and financial modeling skills, understanding of US GAAP, and experience with Workday or Oracle EPM. What you'll do

  • Drive financial accountability by improving budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Refine budget/forecast reporting and templates to help leaders manage divisions for profitable growth
  • Learn and expand use of budgeting and reporting systems; suggest process improvements
  • Assist with department level reporting to support management decisions and drive accountability
  • Improve capital forecasting and reporting/tracking
  • Perform value added ad-hoc analyses to support decision making
  • Collaborate with Accounting team on close procedures including variance analysis, accruals, and deep-dive analyses
  • Continuously take on additional responsibility to improve processes and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Solid understanding of financial statements (including US GAAP) and forecasting concepts
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and proactive with a willingness to learn
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactivity
  • Experience with Workday, Oracle EPM, or other financial systems
