Full job description
Assistant Manager - GL Accounting role responsible for leading day-to-day accounting activities focused on month-end close process and ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key duties include managing General Ledger functions such as accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, vendor expenses, maintaining month-end close calendar, driving SOX-compliant balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing NetSuite accounting transactions, coordinating audits, and performing financial analysis. Requires CA/CPA/MBA with 4-6 years relevant experience, preferably with US tech companies, strong GL accounting knowledge, and ability to work under tight deadlines. Experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP systems and familiarity with reconciliation tools preferred.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage the General Ledger function, including accruals, prepayments, lease accounting, vendor expenses, and other costs
- Own and maintain the month-end close calendar and checklists
- Drive balance sheet reconciliations with SOX-compliant documentation
- Review accounting transactions posted in NetSuite
- Coordinate with auditors and internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth audits and prevent escalations
- Perform balance sheet and income statement flux analysis and provide actionable insights
Requirements
- CA / CPA / MBA qualification
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience working with corporate accounting teams
- Experience preferably with US tech companies
- Strong exposure in GL Accounting and financial close process
- Ability to work effectively under tight timelines
