Full job description
Algorithm Engineer role in Taipei office focused on developing machine learning models for personalized content recommendations. Requires Master's degree in relevant field, 1+ year data science experience, 3+ years programming in Python, Java, or Scala, experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow), and strong SQL skills. Responsibilities include researching data-driven personalization solutions, building ML models, developing optimization algorithms, maintaining data pipelines, collaborating with teams, and presenting insights. Hybrid work model with 3 days in-office.
What you'll do
- Research and propose data-driven solutions for personalization and targeting
- Build and deploy machine learning models to enhance content recommendations
- Develop optimization algorithms to meet key business objectives
- Create and maintain data pipelines for ML model training and evaluation
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to productionize AI solutions
- Present insights and model performance to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way
Requirements
- Master’s degree in CS/CE, EE, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (Ph.D. is a plus)
- 1+ year of full-time work experience (or 3+ months internship for fresh graduates) in data science
- 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong SQL and database skills for data extraction and analysis
