Full job description
Lead DevEx role at Vibe.co to lead AI-first engineering strategy and developer experience. Responsibilities include defining AI-assisted development, adopting AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, MCP), maintaining developer tooling stack (GitHub, CI/CD, local dev), improving engineering velocity, embedding security practices, and measuring developer experience metrics. Requires hands-on platform or developer experience engineering in fast-moving product companies, proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript, experience with developer tooling, and a track record of shipping adopted improvements. Nice to have startup high-growth experience, security tooling exposure, and familiarity with streaming TV or ad infrastructure. Location in Paris with hybrid work (3x a week onsite). Salary range €90,000–€120,000. Benefits include variable pay, health insurance, meal vouchers, annual offsite, and quarterly tech syncs.
What you'll do
- Define and roll out AI-assisted development strategy across engineering org
- Own adoption of coding agents and AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, MCP) to drive engineering velocity
- Identify AI opportunities to remove friction and run experiments
- Stay current with AI tooling landscape and evangelize best practices internally
- Maintain and evolve developer tooling stack across GitHub, CI/CD, and local dev environments
- Reduce time-to-first-commit for new engineers and time-to-ship for the team
- Keep tooling stack lean by cutting ineffective tools
- Own AI-centric golden path for software development lifecycle
- Own security tooling and best practices, embedding security into development workflow
- Spot risks early and drive remediation before incidents
- Define and track developer experience metrics
- Report on velocity, tooling adoption, and friction points to leadership
- Gather feedback from engineering team and act on it
Requirements
- Hands-on experience as a platform or developer experience engineer in a fast-moving product company
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools — serious usage
- Proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Experience owning developer tooling end-to-end: CI/CD, GitHub workflows, local dev environments
- A track record of shipping improvements that engineers actually adopt
- Experience in a high-growth startup where you had to build before you could scale (nice to have)
- Exposure to security tooling and secure development practices (nice to have)
- Familiarity with streaming TV, CTV, or ad infrastructure (nice to have)
