Full job description

Amazon Ads is a rapidly growing advertising division offering innovative solutions such as Prime Video, Twitch, Fire TV, Amazon DSP, and Sponsored Ads. The Agency Development Management (ADM) team drives growth in the Japanese market by building strategic partnerships with major advertising agencies. The role involves strengthening agency training, engagement, and collaboration with internal teams to increase understanding of Amazon Ads. Responsibilities include developing and executing growth strategies for media agencies, managing engagement strategies, creating commercial structures for growth, identifying opportunities for large-scale creative agency collaboration, and working with global teams on innovative solutions. Candidates must have 7+ years of digital media ad sales experience, fluency in Japanese, working-level English, strong analytical and communication skills, experience with programmatic advertising, and the ability to work autonomously and influence senior stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a customer-led growth strategy for media agencies at local and regional levels
  • Build and manage a detailed engagement strategy including local and regional business reviews
  • Develop commercial structures to create incremental growth opportunities across traded and programmatic products
  • Identify opportunities for agency collaboration around large-scale creative solutions, including engagement with creative agencies
  • Collaborate closely with global teams to identify and co-develop innovative agency partnership opportunities
  • Build strong partnerships with advertising agencies and contribute to Amazon Ads growth strategies
  • Strengthen and expand Agency Enablement and deepen agency relationships
  • Plan and execute sales strategies including regular business reviews
  • Create and develop various advertising product transaction models to promote growth
  • Work at the forefront of Amazon Ads to develop new solutions and deliver value to advertisers and partners

Requirements

  • Experience closing sales and generating revenue
  • 7+ years of digital media ad sales experience
  • Fluent in Japanese (speak, write, read)
  • Working-level English for internal team communication
  • Experience meeting revenue targets and quotas
  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
  • Experience in programmatic advertising
  • Excellent analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing customer relationships and influencing senior stakeholders (VP & C-level)
  • Strong data driven storytelling skills – ability to create and deliver compelling presentations with outstanding visuals
  • Ability to communicate constructively with management-level stakeholders and gain their trust
  • Ability to read and analyze complex multi-layered data
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, able to work autonomously
