Full job description
Advertising Director role focused on Turkey and emerging markets including Baltics and Sub-Saharan Africa. Lead sales and account management teams to grow advertiser business, manage full customer lifecycle, and drive revenue growth. Requires 10+ years senior commercial or advertising leadership experience, deep knowledge of Turkish advertising market, proven team management and deal negotiation skills, fluency in Turkish and English, and willingness to travel. Responsibilities include pipeline management, client retention, go-to-market strategy, and collaboration with global teams. Hybrid work schedule with 3 days in-office. What you'll do
- Lead sales and account management teams to land, scale and retain business in Turkey and emerging markets
- Drive high performance to grow regional Book of Business
- Define go-to-market strategy for direct and agency routes
- Manage client expectations and campaign management end to end
- Manage pipeline and forecast new-business closures
- Set goals and KPIs for sales and account management teams
- Maintain client mapping for key accounts
- Run quarterly account plans and hold AMs accountable
- Offer multiple Taboola products to clients
- Understand digital technology, video, and revenue ecosystem
- Work with regional and global leadership to exceed revenue goals
- Build a book of business with strong ICP base
- Pitch, sign and manage JBAs with key clients
- Coordinate with project implementation team
- Collaborate with other markets to replicate successful playbooks
- Convey client feedback to product team
- Maintain active social and on-stage presence and network
Requirements
- Extremely ambitious, driven self-starter
- Minimum of 10 years in a senior commercial or advertising leadership position
- Deep familiarity with the Turkish advertising market
- Proven experience managing, recruiting and developing sales and/or account management teams
- Proven success in securing and scaling customer budgets and growing/retaining accounts
- Relentless track record building and closing a large pipeline of leads
- Experience structuring and negotiating deals in digital media
- Experience mentoring sellers and account managers
- Technologically savvy to support deal implementation and optimization
- Experience building team culture across distributed, multi-market teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Fluency in Turkish and English
- Willingness to travel regularly across the region
- Experience working with performance customers is beneficial
