Full job description The Accounting Manager leads day-to-day accounting operations including financial reporting, general ledger management, technical accounting compliance, and team leadership. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, ensuring GAAP compliance, managing multi-entity consolidations, overseeing month-end close processes, applying technical accounting standards (ASC 606, 842, 718), budgeting and forecasting, designing internal controls, supporting SOX compliance and audits, leveraging data analysis and AI tools for accounting workflows, maintaining ERP systems (NetSuite), supervising accounting staff, driving process improvements and automation, managing tax filings, and supporting strategic projects such as M&A due diligence. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification, 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in management, strong GAAP knowledge, ERP proficiency, advanced Excel skills, data analysis and AI experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
Manage consolidation of financial data across multiple entities
Support preparation of reporting packages for leadership and investors
Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close calendar and processes
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
Maintain chart of accounts and accounting policy documentation
Track and report close-cycle metrics and set targets for improvement
Research and document technical accounting positions and memos
Apply ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718 standards as applicable
Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impact
Partner with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting and forecasting
Monitor actual results against budget and explain variances
Build and maintain analytical models and dashboards
Design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting
Build and operate SOX-aligned control frameworks
Coordinate external audits and maintain audit-ready documentation
Use data analysis for financial data integrity testing and anomaly detection
Apply AI and automation tools to accounting workflows and review outputs
Build and maintain BI reporting and query source data directly
Manage accounting system of record including configuration and integrations
Establish governance for AI use in accounting
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Manage team performance and build team culture
Identify and eliminate manual work and implement scalable processes
Lead automation projects end to end
Document processes for repeatability and auditability
Oversee preparation and submission of tax filings with external advisors
Ensure compliance with reporting requirements including 1099s and payroll taxes
Support strategic initiatives including M&A due diligence and system upgrades Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA required (or active candidate) Public accounting experience strongly preferred Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role Experience in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment Exposure to SOX, public-company reporting, or IPO/audit-readiness work is a strong plus Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable ERP and advanced Excel Strong data analysis capability with working knowledge of SQL and/or BI tools Demonstrated practical AI experience in finance or accounting Familiarity with close-management, reconciliation, or AP/AR automation platforms is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Intellectual curiosity and bias toward automation Excellent organizational and communication skills High ownership and integrity Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a team Tech stack U.S. GAAP NetSuite SAP Oracle Workday Excel Power Query SQL Power BI Tableau Looker Python R FloQast BlackLine Bill.com Ramp Avalara AI machine learning
