Full job description

Accounting Lead role reporting to Senior Manager of Accounting. Responsible for ensuring payroll activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger across all countries. Lead a team, manage monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliation between HR data and ERP. Operate in SOX-compliant environment delivering SOX controls. Collaborate with People teams and finance stakeholders to standardize payroll accounting globally. Support migration from SAP to Oracle Cloud ERP and contribute to payroll accounting design. Manage payroll proposals, HR accruals, stock options accounting, cash forecast, and month-end closing tasks. Prepare documentation for auditors and handle ad-hoc projects. Requires 5-7 years accounting experience with payroll specialization, team leadership skills, SAP knowledge, SOX experience, accounting qualification, fluent English, strong Excel skills, and interest in automation and AI. What you'll do

  • Manage and lead a dedicated team, organizing workloads and running regular 1:1s
  • Drive the monthly close process including journal entries, accruals, and full reconciliation between HR data and ERP
  • Ensure SOX controls are delivered on time and meet quality standards
  • Work closely with People teams across multiple countries to understand local payroll specifics
  • Standardize and improve payroll integration into financial statements globally
  • Support migration from SAP to Oracle Cloud ERP and contribute to payroll accounting design in the new system
  • Harmonize payroll accounting across all company entities
  • Support integration of payroll data flows from payroll providers into accounting systems
  • Integrate new countries or acquisitions into standard processes
  • Prepare payroll-related documentation and analysis for auditors
  • Perform daily controls of payroll proposals and preparation of HR accruals
  • Prepare cash landing and cash forecast processes
  • Analyze payroll-related balance sheet and P&L accounts
  • Prepare and analyze KPIs and provide regular updates to management
  • Handle ad-hoc projects and tasks as appropriate

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of practical accounting experience, including specialization in payroll accounting with a multinational scope
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team (4 people), keeping work organized and priorities clear
  • Good working knowledge of SAP; Oracle Cloud ERP is a strong plus
  • Experience working in a SOX environment
  • Experience in a fast-moving, complex international environment
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and results-driven
  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, CA, or local accounting certification)
  • Fluent English; any other language is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-player mindset
  • A genuine interest in process excellence, with a strong desire to use AI and other technologies to automate work
  • Strong Excel skills
