Full job description

Sovrn is hiring an Account Manager to work with large strategic accounts in the ad-tech industry, focusing on programmatic advertising. The role requires 3+ years of account management experience, preferably with SSP/Exchange knowledge. Responsibilities include managing account health, growth, retention, introducing Sovrn products, and collaborating with internal teams. The position is full-time, hybrid, based in Boulder, CO, New York, NY, or California. Candidates should have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with experience using Jira, Confluence, SalesForce, Looker, Excel, and Google Sheets preferred. Salary range is $90,000 to $105,000 annually plus bonus, equity, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, paid holidays, flexible vacation, commuter benefits, 401(k) with match, and paid parental leave.

What you'll do

  • Actively engage with accounts to understand their business and execute a personalized Sovrn experience
  • Regularly track the overall health of publishers and identify solutions to anticipate customer needs and industry trends
  • Manage satisfaction, success, retention, and growth of a designated book of strategic accounts
  • Identify metrics/KPIs to help customers understand if they are achieving long term goals
  • Introduce additional Sovrn products and services through marketing campaigns, QBRs, and video conferences
  • Nurture relationships with account stakeholders to drive more value through partnership
  • Manage and facilitate product implementation processes
  • Develop and execute regular cadence for collaborative conversations providing insights on performance, health, and growth
  • Share learnings, ideas, best practices, and successes with other Account Managers and Customer Success Team
  • Emulate and embody top performance of an account manager for the team
  • Identify Sovrn products to help accounts expand success and increase revenue, partnering with Pub Growth / Solution Engineers
  • Identify and monitor volatile accounts and report on potential threats to business
  • Meet with publishers in-person when possible to deepen partnership

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Account Management experience
  • Knowledge of ad-tech specific experience, ideally in an SSP/Exchange role
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Effective time management skills with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and provide superior customer service
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for problem-solving and turning challenges into opportunities for business growth
  • Ability to identify problems and explore potential solutions that can be presented clearly to your client
  • Strong work ethic with a self-motivated attitude and ability to be resourceful to get the job done
  • Communicate candidly, even if it’s uncomfortable
  • Ability to travel as required by customers and industry events
  • Ability to create great first impression for prospects by providing a best-in-class experience with a service-focused mindset
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • A deep appreciation for the team dynamic and ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Experience in programmatic advertising on the supply or demand side preferred
  • Cross product selling and up-selling experience preferred
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, SalesForce, and Looker preferred
  • Familiarity in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (Vlookups, Formulas Pivot Tables, etc) preferred
