The Account Manager in Platform Operations partners with Sales to service advertising agency partners and execute high-performing advertising campaigns. Responsibilities include managing the full post-sale campaign lifecycle across direct and programmatic channels, coordinating internal teams, monitoring campaign performance, optimizing delivery, and maintaining client relationships. The role requires strong programmatic and digital media expertise, proficiency with AdTech tools (Salesforce, Jira, IAS, DoubleVerify, Upwave, Google Ad Manager, DoubleClick), data-driven analysis skills, and excellent communication. Candidates should have 1-2+ years of experience in digital media account management or media planning, a BA/BS in Business, Advertising, or Marketing, and familiarity with the agency ecosystem. The position offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 - $90,000 annually, a flexible hybrid work environment, and benefits including a 401(k) plan and potential bonuses.
What you'll do
- Own the full post-sale campaign lifecycle across direct and programmatic channels—from kickoff and creative QA to DSP activation, pacing, and wrap decks
- Partner closely with AdOps, Design, Engineering, and Sales to ensure seamless campaign setup, accurate execution, and structured pod alignments
- Monitor daily delivery, pacing, and KPI trends to deliver actionable optimization recommendations and data-driven insights to clients
- Serve as the primary post-sale contact for agency and trading desk partners, building long-term trust through clear communication and best-in-class support
- Drive account renewals and lead high-value QBR and wrap deck presentations for key accounts to showcase ROI and campaign success
- Partner with Sales to identify incremental, upsell, and cross-channel opportunities within existing accounts to maximize lifetime value
- Collaborate with the Strategic Programmatic Lead to troubleshoot complex technical issues, adopt evolving best practices, and leverage new platform capabilities
- Research client marketing goals to proactively position GumGum’s capabilities and secure future revenue pipelines
Requirements
- Strong grasp of DSPs, Deal IDs, Real-Time Bidding (RTB), agency trading desks, and core digital metrics/revenue models
- Ability to interpret campaign performance data, synthesize clear insights, and confidently explain results to clients
- Familiarity with industry tools such as Salesforce, Jira, IAS, DoubleVerify, Upwave, and ad serving platforms like Google Ad Manager/DoubleClick
- Skilled at navigating diverse internal and external relationships, balancing competing client needs with diplomacy and high-touch service
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical workflows clearly
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for performance modeling and client presentations
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly self-motivated team player who takes initiative, adapts well to ongoing feedback, and approaches challenges with a logical, problem-solving mindset
- BA/BS degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, or equivalent practical experience
- 1–2+ years of experience in digital media, specifically within Account Management or Media Planning
- Hands-on background in programmatic execution (trading, planning, or programmatic account management)
- Strong foundational understanding of the agency landscape, from holding companies down to agency trading desks
