Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a mid-level client services professional with 3-5 years of online advertising experience, including at least 1 year client-facing. The role involves managing and growing advertiser and agency client relationships in Japan, acting as a strategic advisor to translate business goals into programmatic advertising strategies, and becoming an expert on The Trade Desk platform. Responsibilities include driving revenue growth, leading performance reviews and strategic planning with senior clients, collaborating with internal teams, building client services practices, and providing market feedback. Required skills include experience with RTB, DSPs, ad exchanges, Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, time management, and fluency in English and Japanese.

What you'll do

  • Own and grow relationships with a portfolio of advertisers and/or agency clients in Japan
  • Act as a strategic advisor, translating client business goals into effective programmatic advertising strategies
  • Become an expert on The Trade Desk platform and offer insights to clients on campaign improvement
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic account planning and up-selling
  • Lead regular performance reviews, QBRs, and strategic planning conversations with senior client stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Sales, Trading, Product, and regional/global teams to deliver best-in-class client outcomes
  • Help build the Client Services practice by creating training materials, best practices, sales materials, and customer-facing guides
  • Provide feedback from clients and the local market to influence product and commercial strategy

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of online advertising experience
  • At least 1+ years of client-facing experience
  • Sales background and experience is a strong plus
  • Expertise in working with RTB, DSPs, ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and other optimization platforms is a plus
  • Experience managing programmatic advertising and digital marketing campaigns
  • Solid experience in Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of large data sets
  • Outstanding troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Proven track record of growing accounts by forging strong client relationships
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
