Full job description

Manage and lead technical programs aligned with business and product strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior staff to ensure successful project execution. Lead delivery across multiple teams or a moderately complex platform. Partner with Product and Engineering leads to align priorities, manage dependencies, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities include planning, risk management, budget forecasting, quality monitoring, and coaching teams on agile and SDLC practices. Maintain Jira boards, track team availability, and communicate status updates. Requires deep understanding of Agile delivery models, cross-team dependency management, facilitation skills, and mentoring experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. 5-7 years relevant experience required. On-site role in Chicago, Illinois. Salary range $103,401.96 - $155,102.94 with comprehensive benefits.

What you'll do

  • Manage technical programs aligning with strategic business and product needs

  • Partner with Product and Engineering leads to align priorities and manage dependencies
  • Drive continuous improvement and planning
  • Understand technical program scopes and drive key planning milestones
  • Research, plan, and achieve program objectives through team collaboration
  • Coordinate with senior staff to secure participation from cross-functional team members
  • Oversee project execution ensuring technical specifications and program plans are followed
  • Schedule work and manage critical path tasks within program scope
  • Develop program goals, objectives, and success criteria aligned with technical strategies
  • Identify and analyze complex technical risks and issues, provide resolutions
  • Support budget and resource forecasting
  • Monitor program deliverables for quality and manage changes
  • Lead execution of cross-team initiatives
  • Coach teams on agile and SDLC maturity
  • Own delivery metrics and reporting
  • Proactively manage risks and blockers
  • Support a single team’s delivery execution under guidance
  • Track progress and surface blockers to senior EDMs
  • Assist in scheduling and documenting agile ceremonies
  • Maintain Jira boards and sprint plans
  • Track team availability and flag inconsistencies
  • Suggest minor workflow improvements
  • Participate in retrospectives and document action items
  • Share status updates with internal team and escalate issues as needed
  • Work nights and weekends as necessary

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery models and metrics (velocity, cycle time)
  • Strong grasp of cross-team dependency management
  • Knowledge of platform or domain-specific delivery challenges
  • Advanced facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Data-driven decision-making and reporting
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent coursework and experience
  • 5-7 years relevant work experience
