Cognitiv is hiring a Staff Research Scientist for its New Initiatives team to develop new AI-driven AdTech products. The role requires 7+ years of ML R&D experience, expertise in PyTorch, transformers, LLMs, and strong Python software engineering skills. Responsibilities include generating product ideas, prototyping with deep learning, owning projects end-to-end, advancing embedding research, collaborating cross-functionally, and maintaining industry knowledge. The position is hybrid, based in Bellevue, WA or San Mateo, CA, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote. Salary ranges from $200,000 to $300,000 USD base plus equity depending on location.
