The Trade Desk is hiring a Senior People Advisory Partner to contribute to strategic HR initiatives supporting business success. This role partners with business leaders to develop people strategies, resolve complex employee issues, and foster a high-performance culture. Responsibilities include managing employee relations, advising on performance management, ensuring compliance with employment law in India, managing reorganisations, and acting as a project manager for HR initiatives. Candidates must have 14-16 years as an HR Business Partner with 5+ years at senior level, strong employment law knowledge for India, excellent communication, conflict resolution skills, and ability to manage multiple projects. What you'll do

  • Work as a strategic partner for business leaders to build People strategies supporting business goals
  • Lead and own end-to-end resolution of complex employee inquiries/issues
  • Champion a culture of high work performance by supporting employees and managers
  • Provide recommendations to senior leadership and managers on performance measures
  • Build partnerships with senior management and employees across all levels
  • Be part of a People Team support pod to create holistic support
  • Leverage employment law knowledge to mitigate risk in people-related matters with Employment Legal Team
  • Identify and share insights into business context and people themes
  • Manage reorganisations of business teams and coordinate work across stakeholders
  • Partner with Employment Legal, People Relations & People Development teams on employee offboarding
  • Identify and initially de-escalate potential conflicts
  • Drive resolution of complex employee inquiries ensuring adherence to local employment laws
  • Create plans with senior leaders and employees to support performance management and measure progress
  • Act as project manager on business projects, connecting cross-functional teams and driving progress
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant master's degree preferred
  • 14-16 years working as a HR Business Partner, with 5+ years working at a senior level
  • Significant knowledge of employment law in the India region
  • Practical understanding and experience across key HR functional areas, processes, and practices
  • Experience building strong relationships with the business and earning trust and credibility
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and create results
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in delivering sensitive messaging to a wide variety of individuals
  • Experience with conflict management and resolution
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Independent thinker and self-starter
