Freestar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Prebid and header bidding for a remote US-based role. The candidate will be a subject matter expert in Prebid.js and Prebid Server, responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality client-side monetization scripts at scale. Responsibilities include writing production code, reviewing peer code, owning the header bidding wrapper architecture and release cycle, integrating new features, and working with Google Ad Manager and IMA SDK. The role requires deep knowledge of programmatic advertising, auction lifecycle, and Google Ad Manager features. Candidates must have 4+ years of JavaScript experience, strong TypeScript skills, experience with Google Cloud Platform, and broad ad tech fluency including OpenRTB, SSP/DSP integrations, consent frameworks, and video ad technologies. Strong problem-solving, asynchronous programming skills, and ability to work in a distributed team are required. Contributions to Prebid open-source projects are a plus. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
