Full job description

Innovid seeks a senior IT Operations Engineer for its Edinburgh office. The role involves managing day-to-day IT support operations, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with a global IT team. Responsibilities include administering Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, JumpCloud, AWS infrastructure, SharePoint, and Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence). The engineer will design and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Python, manage endpoint devices (Windows and macOS), handle IT ticketing with SLA adherence, and lead cloud migration projects. Candidates must have 4+ years in IT support or systems administration, strong scripting skills, experience with cloud services and migrations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. What you'll do

  • Act as senior point of contact for IT support in Edinburgh office, running day-to-day operations and mentoring junior IT support team members
  • Work within a global IT team across multiple time zones and offices, coordinating priorities and sharing knowledge
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues
  • Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and JumpCloud
  • Support and maintain AWS-based infrastructure and cloud services
  • Manage SharePoint sites, permissions, and content structure
  • Plan and execute on-premises to cloud and cloud to cloud migration projects
  • Administer and support Atlassian products including Jira and Confluence
  • Design, build, and maintain automation scripts and tools (PowerShell and Python) to streamline IT operations
  • Adopt AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance IT operations and service delivery
  • Manage endpoint installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for Windows and macOS devices
  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, and access rights ensuring least-privilege and compliance
  • Configure and maintain technical equipment including computers, printers, meeting room systems, and back-office infrastructure
  • Own and triage IT ticketing system requests, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met and coaching junior staff
  • Design, document, and improve IT policies, procedures, and processes
  • Research, evaluate, and pilot new products, services, and automation opportunities
  • Contribute to inventory management, budget tracking, and vendor relationships

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience in an IT support or systems administration role, including experience supporting more junior colleagues
  • Experience managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and macOS environments at scale
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 (identity, security, and collaboration tools)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell and Python
  • Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure concepts
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration
  • Experience with JumpCloud or comparable cloud directory / MDM platform
  • Experience administering SharePoint including site structure, permissions, and governance
  • Experience with on-premises to cloud migration projects
  • Familiarity administering Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with IT support tickets against SLAs and KPIs, including prioritisation and escalation management
  • Knowledge of IT security tools and practices such as firewalls, EDR, and MDM
  • Proven ability to mentor and support junior team members
  • Experience working with remote and international teams
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
  • Responsible, service-oriented team player with a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies
