Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a senior sales professional with 6-10+ years of experience in digital advertising outbound sales, preferably with client-side brand experience (CPG/QSR/Retail/Auto). The role involves leading and growing commercial relationships with key advertisers, owning a quota-carrying book of business, developing revenue growth and pipeline, and translating client objectives into media and investment strategies using The Trade Desk platform. Responsibilities include product demonstrations, responding to RFPs, negotiating executive-level Joint Business Plans, providing thought leadership on media buying and measurement, and collaborating with internal teams. Candidates must have a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets, strong communication and negotiation skills, familiarity with Salesforce and contract lifecycle tools, and ability to work cross-functionally. The position is full-time based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Compensation includes a base salary range of $77,970 to $142,945 CAD, stock-based compensation, and variable incentives.

What you'll do

  • Lead and grow commercial relationships with key advertisers across priority verticals
  • Own a quota-carrying book of business with accountability for revenue growth, pipeline development, forecast accuracy, and identifying opportunities to exceed growth targets
  • Translate client business objectives into actionable, outcome-driven media and investment strategies leveraging The Trade Desk’s platform, data, and measurement capabilities
  • Communicate the value of The Trade Desk media buying platform through detailed product demonstrations
  • Lead responses to RFPs or new opportunities including qualification and win strategy
  • Build and negotiate executive-level Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to formalize long-term partnerships and drive incremental investment
  • Provide thought leadership by shaping clients’ media buying, data, and measurement approaches
  • Partner closely with internal client-facing teams including Client Services and Technical Account Management to ensure seamless execution against commercial and client objectives

Requirements

  • 6 -10+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales
  • Experience working with or within a client-side brand (CPG/QSR/Retail/Auto) preferred
  • Commercially savvy, growth-oriented seller
  • Proven quota-carrier with consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication, executive presence, and organizational skills
  • Confident leading client conversations and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and contract lifecycle tools (CLM)
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Marketing, and Inventory teams
