Full job description

The Revenue Accountant role supports revenue accounting processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with ASC 606. Responsibilities include managing revenue recognition workflows, monthly and quarterly close activities, contract and pricing reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement initiatives. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in revenue accounting or related fields, knowledge of ASC 606, strong month-end close skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates across Canada, prioritizing those in Toronto or EST timezone. Salary range is $76,000 to $90,250 CAD base.

What you'll do

  • Supporting end-to-end revenue recognition processes in compliance with ASC 606 across multiple contract types and billing arrangements
  • Owning monthly and quarterly close deliverables, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for revenue-related accounts
  • Reviewing contracts, pricing, discounts, and system setup to ensure revenue-related data is accurate and aligned with approved proposals and executed agreements
  • Partnering with Deal Desk, Internal Audit, FP&A, Controllership, and Financial Reporting to support audit requests, contracting processes, and revenue accounting questions
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline workflows, and support automation initiatives that reduce manual work and improve accuracy
  • Helping build scalable revenue accounting processes that can support StackAdapt’s continued growth

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting, financial reporting, or audit, ideally within a high-growth technology or SaaS environment
  • Strong understanding of month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and how it applies to customer contracts and revenue recognition
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement scalable solutions
  • A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation, systems, and operational efficiency
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
