Full job description

Seeking a Senior Test Manager for Martech Platforms with expertise in Python and Playwright to lead test automation and quality engineering across digital marketing ecosystems. Responsibilities include defining testing strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, integrating CI/CD pipelines, mentoring QA teams, applying advanced SQL for data validation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires 10+ years in software testing, proficiency in automation tools, strong database and DevOps skills, and experience with digital marketing platforms and Agile methodologies. Preferred experience with AI/ML frameworks, data privacy regulations, and consulting in martech projects. Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you'll do

  • Define testing approach for large and complex projects balancing automation and manual testing
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and infrastructure using Python, Playwright, and modern automation procedures
  • Support end-to-end automation, CI/CD integration, regression suites, and quality engineering at scale
  • Research and implement emerging technologies such as AI-driven testing and advanced scripting
  • Gather requirements, assess risks, and ensure testing solutions meet business objectives
  • Mentor and guide QA team members and developers on software quality assurance procedures
  • Define and track key automation metrics and KPIs to improve processes
  • Apply advanced SQL skills for data validation and testing
  • Write complex SQL queries to validate data transformation and integration
  • Identify, document, and prioritize defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and provide testing insights
  • Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning and improvement
  • Conduct appraisals and performance reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in software testing, manual and automated
  • Good understanding of software development and testing methodologies, estimations, tools, and processes
  • Proficiency in test automation tools including Python, Playwright, PyTest/BDD/Keyword driven/Robot framework
  • Experience with performance and security testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, OWASP tools) is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong database skills (SQL, PL/SQL, Data Warehousing concepts, ETL)
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, VSTS)
  • Exposure to digital marketing platforms, CDPs, or loyalty systems is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (scikit-learn, AWS AI services) preferred
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms (Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, GCP) preferred
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and ethical AI practices
  • Consulting or client-facing experience in martech or digital transformation projects
  • Experience in appraisals and performance reviews
