Full job description

Liftoff is seeking a senior technical accounting expert to draft and review technical memos, guide accounting policy, and ensure financial statements reflect complex transactions accurately. Responsibilities include researching and documenting technical accounting positions, preparing journal entry support, owning accounting policies, implementing new accounting standards, managing equity-related accounting, preparing financial statements and disclosures, collaborating with legal and business teams, and supporting audits. Requirements include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification, 6 years of experience with public accounting (preferably Big 4), expertise in US GAAP, strong analytical and communication skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. The role is full-time, remote-first with a preference for Pacific Time Zone and San Francisco Bay Area. Compensation includes base salary plus 10% bonus, equity, and health benefits.
