Full job description

Junior SOC Security Engineer to support security team operations by monitoring IT infrastructure, analyzing and triaging alerts from SIEM and EDR systems, escalating incidents, analyzing malware payloads, identifying IoCs, and performing behavioral analysis to detect anomalies. Responsibilities include incident response, alert verification, supporting tool development, escalating complex cases, and AI-driven threat hunting. Requires minimum 1 year SOC L1 experience, fluency in English and Polish, knowledge of SIEM (Splunk), XDR/EDR (SentinelOne), network protocols, and security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST). Willingness to learn automation/scripting (Python/Bash) is a plus. Offers flexible remote work, cutting-edge technology projects, and flexible contract models (B2B/Contract of Mandate).

What you'll do

  • Respond to incidents in accordance with established procedures
  • Verify alerts from SIEM/EDR/XDR class systems
  • Support more experienced team members in developing current tools or implementing new security solutions
  • Escalate complex cases and support the SOC team in their daily operations
  • Analyze malware payloads, identify Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), and perform behavioral analysis of users and systems
  • Participate in proactive AI-driven threat hunting using AI-based tools
  • Interpret hypotheses and anomalies generated by AI models
  • Document findings and recommend new detection rules

Requirements

  • Experience in a SOC environment at an L1 level (minimum 1 year)
  • Fluency in English and Polish (minimum B2)
  • Threat analysis and incident response skills
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk Enterprise Security)
  • Knowledge of XDR/EDR solutions (SentinelOne)
  • Knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS)
  • Willingness to develop skills towards automation and scripting (Python/Bash – nice to have)
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST
