Full job description
Liftoff is seeking an International Tax Manager to manage all non-US tax compliance and financial reporting obligations globally. The role requires deep expertise in international direct and indirect taxation and strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Responsibilities include overseeing quarterly non-US tax provisions, preparing local tax provisions and forecasting, building tax models, tracking deliverables, managing third-party tax providers, supporting strategic tax initiatives, monitoring legislative changes, leading tax projects, improving workflows, collaborating with senior leaders, preparing audit documentation, and managing tax department operations. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience in corporate tax or related fields, proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, experience with tax provision cycles and audits, strong organizational and communication skills, familiarity with tax control frameworks, and a relevant bachelor's degree. CPA or MST certification is a plus. The position is full-time remote within the Pacific Time Zone states: California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Salary ranges from $113,000 to $159,000 plus bonus depending on location.

Oversee the quarterly Non-US tax provision process in line with the company close timeline, working with third-party providers and internal teams to streamline and improve accuracy and timeliness

Collaborate with senior tax and accounting leaders to translate business changes into tax process updates and modeling assumptions
Assist in preparing documentation for tax audits, inquiries, and internal control testing
Manage tax department operations including but not limited to calendar tracking, documentation workflows, and coordination of internal and external resources
Requirements
8+ years of experience in corporate tax, tax operations, financial analysis, or related fields
Proficient in Excel and financial modeling skills and willingness to learn new technologies
Experience supporting tax provision cycles, compliance processes, and audits
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and accountability
Familiarity with tax control frameworks, documentation standards, and reporting requirements
Exemplary organizational and communication skills with a forward-thinking and collaborative mindset
Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize technical details for non-tax stakeholders
Experience with tax provision software or ERP systems preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
CPA, MST, or equivalent certification a plus
