Pixalate is a fraud protection, privacy, and compliance analytics platform for Connected TV and Mobile Advertising. The Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) bridges the gap between Pixalate's platform and customers' business environments, acting as the technical lead on sales calls and managing product-specific configurations. Responsibilities include technical partnership with sales, product line ownership, customer validation, trial ownership, solution architecture, use case definition, churn risk mitigation, and post-integration handoff. Required qualifications include strong understanding of data integration, APIs, system architecture, ad tech familiarity, excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work cross-functionally. Preferred qualifications include experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, digital fraud detection, solutions engineering, and knowledge of CTV and mobile analytics. The role requires time zone flexibility and multitasking ability. What you'll do

  • Serve as the technical authority for assigned product on sales calls
  • Validate technical feasibility, answer architectural questions, and remove blockers
  • Ensure clients feel technically confident moving forward with deals
  • Own a specific product line as its deep SME in the field
  • Manage the technical roadmap for product within each sales opportunity
  • Collaborate with other FDEs for multiple product integrations
  • Serve as gatekeeper for product relevance within assigned product line
  • Secure direct customer feedback before feature launches
  • Validate solutions with live clients to solve actual business problems
  • Own technical accountability for product line within each account
  • Work as part of FDE Integration Team to ensure complete client integration
  • Remain engaged until product is live, stable, and proving value
  • Translate client's unstructured problems into Pixalate configurations
  • Map specific data fields and business logic to platform
  • Ensure clients are protected in their specific environment
  • Author Use Case Document for every engagement
  • Define how client applies Pixalate to their business
  • Establish official Definition of Done for each trial
  • Serve as first line of defense against churn
  • Manually verify data matches promised Use Case
  • Ensure clients experience 'Aha!' moment before contract signing
  • Facilitate technical transfer to Customer Success after contract signing
  • Document custom configurations and Use Cases for ongoing support

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of data integration, APIs, and system architecture
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical configurations
  • Familiarity with ad tech, fraud detection, or digital analytics platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interactions
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex integration challenges
  • Track record of creative problem-solving in ambiguous technical environments
  • Strong documentation and process definition skills
  • Experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, or digital fraud detection (preferred)
  • Background in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or pre-sales engineering (preferred)
  • Familiarity with CTV, mobile app analytics, or data feed integrations (preferred)
  • Experience with trial management and customer success metrics (preferred)
  • Understanding of IVT (Invalid Traffic) or ad fraud concepts (preferred)
  • Willingness to accommodate early morning or late evening calls to align with global teams
  • Ability to handle high-volume multitasking
  • Foundational understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem (DSP, SSP, Ad Server)
