Full job description
StackAdapt seeks an Employment Counsel with 3+ years of Canadian employment law experience to provide advisory support across Canada and other jurisdictions. Responsibilities include managing complaints, supporting litigation, partnering with People & Culture on employment lifecycle matters, drafting agreements and policies, supporting compliance projects, and aiding international expansion. The role involves using AI tools to enhance legal workflows. Candidates must be called to the bar in a Canadian province, preferably Ontario, and have strong knowledge of employment and human rights legislation. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates in Canada.
What you'll do
- Provide day-to-day employment law advisory support for Canada and other jurisdictions as needed
- Manage and resolve employment standards complaints, human rights complaints, demand letters
- Support litigation strategy and instruct outside counsel when required
