Technology Strategy Director role reporting to Senior Director/VP. Responsibilities include providing expertise across digital technology components such as Identity Resolution, Data Management, Analytics, AI, Audience Management, Content Management, Channel Personalization, Demand Generation, and AdTech. Lead consulting engagements, manage analysts, develop client deliverables, and support business development. Requires 10+ years consulting or digital agency experience in marketing technology, senior knowledge of CRM and customer experience technology, leadership experience, proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, Miro, and Vizio, and ability to travel up to 25%. Bachelor's degree required. Salary range $113,000-$158,000. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, life insurance, disability, 401k, paid time off, holidays, sick leave, and parental leave. Remote position based in Maryland, USA.
What you'll do
- Provide expertise, vendor knowledge, and industry best practices across digital technology components
- Connect technology capability goals to business needs and build compelling value stories
- Build relationships and manage client expectations through meetings and discussions
- Lead daily delivery efforts with engagement team members using PowerPoint, Excel, and Lucidchart
- Lead discovery meetings with clients, partners, vendors or subject matter experts
- Bring industry-leading perspective about customer experience technology stack
- Provide opinions and recommendations on marketing-related technology use cases
- Lead consulting engagements by developing storytelling and recommendations
- Manage consulting analysts to guide work product development and coach storytelling skills
- Leverage existing frameworks and gather important assets and materials
- Oversee internal projects to improve team offerings and capabilities
- Develop materials to educate teams on CX technology components
- Support business development opportunities as a technology strategy SME
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience consulting within technology or marketing OR 10+ years of experience working in a digital agency operating marketing technology
- Senior knowledge of Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) technical concepts and customer experience technology
- Expert knowledge in relational databases, customer data integration, analytic modeling, campaign management, content management, commerce, loyalty, messaging, service and business intelligence systems
- Experience managing people and leading a diverse team
- Expert proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Lucidchart, Miro and Vizio
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Ability to travel for clients up to 25%
- Deep understanding of marketing technology ecosystems and platforms such as Email Service Platform, CDP, Digital Asset Manager, Data Lake, or ID Resolution technology
- Success in leading consulting work for clients and providing presentations and deliverables
- Demonstrated experience in testing and expanding personal knowledge
- Desire to understand client systems and challenges to provide nuanced recommendations
