Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a lead business development professional with 10+ years in online advertising and outbound sales to drive market expansion in North Asia (Greater China, Korea, Japan). Responsibilities include hunting new clients, exceeding revenue targets, solution selling, building C-level relationships, focusing on emerging verticals like Social apps and AI, and collaborating with product and engineering teams. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required; Korean, Japanese, or Cantonese is a plus.

What you'll do

  • Proactively identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities across North Asia
  • Deliver significant sales results and exceed revenue targets through strategic selling and pipeline management
  • Design value-add digital advertising solutions aligned with clients' business goals and KPIs
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level clients and key industry partners in North Asia
  • Target and scale high-potential emerging outbound verticals, especially Social apps and AI-driven platforms
  • Collaborate with global product and engineering teams to communicate market needs and identify product gaps

Requirements

  • 10+ years of online advertising experience with outbound sales, lead generation, and new business development
  • Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and build trusted relationships with C-level executives
  • Deep knowledge of the digital advertising landscape in North Asia (Greater China, Korea, Japan)
  • Familiarity with cross-border advertising, publisher networks, ad tech, or DSP environments
  • Strong exposure to fast-growing sectors like Social apps and AI
  • High degree of sales acumen, exceptional time management, and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to navigate complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin required; proficiency in Korean, Japanese, or Cantonese is a plus
