Full job description

The role is for a Strategic Partner Manager on the Innovation Partnerships team at Google. The candidate will lead the GCS Innovation Partnerships program, managing a portfolio of native leaders, AdTech/MarTech companies, and agencies to co-create marketing solutions. Responsibilities include bridging regional market needs with technical innovation, executing GTM strategies, enabling partner development, and managing solution activations. Requires 7 years experience in business development or related fields, experience with partner ecosystems, Google Ads products, and fluency in English and Mandarin. Preferred skills include executing joint GTM efforts, creating technical documentation, and technical program management. Location options are Shanghai or Shenzhen, China.

What you'll do

  • Lead the GCS Innovation Partnerships program
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage a robust ecosystem of native leaders, AdTech/MarTech companies, and specialized agencies
  • Co-create the future of driven marketing through deep integrations with emerging players and specialized boutiques
  • Ensure Google Ads remains the foundational engine for growth within next generation powered media solutions and platforms
  • Bridge the gap between regional market needs and technical innovation from third-party partners
  • Advocate cross-functional collaboration across internal teams and select partners
  • Execute GTM strategies, enable partner development, and ensure successful solution activations
  • Manage a portfolio of partners through co-development of new solutions and GTM acceleration of existing third-party tools
  • Navigate complex contracting and product roadmaps

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking
  • Experience with partner ecosystems, regional integrators, technology partners, and global system integrators
  • Experience in technology consulting, solutions consulting, solutions engineering, or development roles bridging technical execution with business strategy
  • Experience in Google Ads products, digital marketing tools and solutions, and products and players in the AdTech/MarTech ecosystem within the APAC region
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Mandarin fluently
  • Experience executing joint GTM and co-marketing partner efforts
  • Experience creating technical documentation and enablement materials
  • Expertise in native companies and the AdTech/MarTech landscape
  • Experience in technical program management or product development
  • Ability to enable partners on product features and integrations
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for audiences and translate solution-focused projects into business cases for senior stakeholders
