Full job description

OpenX is seeking a mid-level software engineer to join the core exchange development team. The role involves designing and building high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems handling billions of ad requests daily on a fully containerized cloud platform (GCP). Responsibilities include architecting new features, collaborating with product and UX teams, improving system efficiency and scalability, and maintaining system stability. Candidates must have 4+ years experience building SaaS applications with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and database design (RDBMS or NoSQL). Experience with GCP or AWS and digital media or ad tech is a plus. The position offers flexible working hours with a remote option, competitive salary (17,708 - 19,792 PLN gross/monthly or 147 - 164 PLN net/hourly for B2B), and benefits including private healthcare, bonuses, training, and more. Location: Krakow, Poland.

What you'll do

  • Design high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems
  • Architect, create, and deliver new features and functionality
  • Work with Product to drive the requirements, and own the project end-to-end
  • Work with Product and UX teams to bring consumer-grade user experience and design to the enterprise
  • Work with Engineering and Product teams distributed across multiple locations
  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes
  • Think long-term and be unsatisfied with band-aids
  • Identify unnecessary complexity and remove it
  • Team work collaboration

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience with building SaaS applications using JavaScript/Typescript
  • Experience with React and Node.js
  • Experience with database system design, RDBMS, or NoSQL
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services - nice to have
  • Experience working in digital media, marketing technology, or advertising technology is a big plus
  • Communicative Polish and English
