Full job description

The Trade Desk is hiring a Software Engineer I in Irvine, CA. The role involves implementing full stack software solutions using relational and high-performance databases, back-end development, API design, modern JavaScript frameworks, and cloud-based containerized environments. The engineer will act as a subject matter expert on measurement solutions, monitor deployed solutions for bugs and performance, write automated tests, design complex database tables and GraphQL schemas, and collaborate with product managers and designers. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and working knowledge of SQL, object-oriented programming, API design, JavaScript, UI frameworks, and cloud infrastructure. Salary range is $137,600 to $206,400 per year. What you'll do

  • Implement full stack software solutions using relational and high-performance databases
  • Develop back-end applications and design APIs
  • Use modern JavaScript frameworks and component-based UI architectures
  • Deploy and operate solutions in cloud-based, containerized environments
  • Act as subject matter expert on measurement solutions including Conversion Lift, Third Party Conversion Lift, Carrier Activation Indicator, New Devices Indicator, Inferred Brand Intent, and Campaign Reporting and Attribution
  • Monitor deployed solutions for bugs, performance, and feedback using NewRelic, Sumologic, and Grafana
  • Include automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests in all solutions
  • Design complex database tables, GraphQL schemas, and client access patterns
  • Identify and lead implementation of new measurement solutions
  • Collaborate with product managers and designers using Figma
  • Track project progress using Jira to facilitate roadmap discussions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Working knowledge of SQL database
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
