Full job description

Quantcast is hiring a junior/full-time software engineer in San Francisco to build customer-facing ad campaign insight features using React, TypeScript, Java, and Python. The role involves full stack development, testing, monitoring, documentation, and operational ownership. The engineer will explore AI agent integration, participate in engineering rituals, and collaborate with Product Managers and Designers. Candidates should be new grads or have up to 1 year experience, be US work authorized without sponsorship, have built at least one substantive project, be comfortable with TypeScript, Java, or Python, possess solid CS fundamentals, and have strong communication skills. Salary range is $138,500 to $162,000 USD plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Build customer-facing features that surface insights about ad campaigns (full stack: React and TypeScript frontend, Java/Python backend, database)
  • Include testing, monitoring, documentation, and operational ownership of systems built
  • Explore how AI agents fit into product and customer workflows to identify valuable features
  • Participate in engineering rituals such as system design discussions, code reviews, and on-call duties
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers to decide what to build and why

Requirements

  • New grad or up to 1 year of experience
  • Work-authorized in the United States without need for employer sponsorship
  • Built at least one substantive project (side project, class project, internship deliverable, or open-source contribution)
  • Comfortable in at least one of TypeScript, Java, or Python and willing to learn others
  • Solid computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design
  • Curious about code behavior beyond individual functions across services, databases, and network
  • Interest in understanding user needs and questioning what should be built
  • Ability and willingness to write clearly about technical topics
